Much against the form book, your webmaster pulled off equal first at the Dorset "Closed" Individual Championship in Bournemouth, this weekend. I got 3½ out of 5, having lost Round One and been lazy in Round 4 by pre-booking a bye.
This is probably the most interesting position of the tournament, which I reached in the last round, needing a win to get into the money. Black (Kevin Goater) is to move, and should probably take the pawn on c5. But he goes, instead directly for the win with g4.
