Kent Junior Chess Association

The Kent Junior Chess Association (KJCA) is responsible for the development of junior chess throughout Kent and south-east London. We maintain cordial relations with the KJCA and are happy to give them this plug!

Club Competition, from Howard Walden

After discussion with Andrew Ponting, it has been decided that the Club Competition for the forthcoming season year will be 2 leagues with everyone playing each other once in their league.
  • Each round of games must be played by a published date (you can agree to play on an earlier date).
  • If a player doesn't play a game by the scheduled date it will be defaulted.
  • 1 point for a win and ½ for a draw.
  • Players will need to have played a minimum number of games to win their league.
  • Players will need to have been spoken to /signed up for the league within the next few weeks/
We're expecting the higher league will have graded games, for which the players will pay the relevant fees (c. 50p).

Howard is interested in your views on the matter, so post them here.
