Herts Chess Association, 61st Annual Congress

News comes to us of the Hertfordshire Annual Congress, which is now held on the weekend of 2nd - 3rd February, to avoid clashing with the London Chess Classic. Details from www.hertschesscongress.com

The venus is the County Suite, County Hall, Hertford, SG13 8DQ.

In addition to the Open there are graded sections for U175, U150 and U120. Prizes totalling £1600 including 2 grading prizes in each Tournament.

KENT QUICKPLAY FINAL

Rainham were at home to Beckenham in the final of the Kent Quickplay last night.  Beckenham won 10-6 to retain the trophy.  Many thanks to Alex Selway who stepped in as a replacement at a few hours notice and scored a critical 2/4.
